Burnham Area Information and Access Directory 

The 2005 Burnham Area Information and Access Directory has again been produced by the Burnham Access Group, a voluntary group of local people who work with, and on behalf of, people with disabilities to promote access and mobility for all in the Burnham area. The Burnham Access Group is a  committee of Burnham Community Association, a registered charity.

The Directory is divided into three parts. In the first part you will find general, useful information divided into a number of sections including "Health and Social Care" and "Help and Support at Home". In the second part of the Directory you will find details of various accessible walks including information about Cliveden and Burnham Beeches. In the third part (The Access Guide) you will find detailed information about the accessibility of places of worship, schools, shops etc in the Burnham area. Printed copies of the 2005 Directory (including a large print version) are available free of charge from Burnham Advice and Information Centre Burnham Park Hall, Windsor Lane, Burnham Tel. 01628 605975. 

We have introduced a new format for this web based version of the Burnham Area Information and Access Directory. It is now available in portable document format (pdf) files. Adobe Reader software may be required in your computer to view and print the files. If required, the software can be downloaded free of charge by clicking on the Adobe Reader symbol immediately below.

Finding your way around the pdf version of the Directory 

There are two indexes in the Directory. The Index of Contents by main subject headings can be found on Pages 4 and 5  and the more detailed A - Z Index of Contents on Pages 175 - 180. 

To find your way quickly to any particular page when in the pdf version

From the Index of Contents on Pages 4 to 5 there are direct links to all subjects. Alternatively if you know the page number you want, type it in the small box at the bottom of the screen where the current page number will be showing. Press "enter" to go straight there. Arrows to the left and right of the box allow the previous and next page to be shown immediately. Also immediately to the right of the box showing the current page number there are two small green arrows that allow you to move quickly between pages: press "<" to return to  the previous page viewed and ">" to return to the current page.

To search for a particular word or phrase 

Click on "Edit"  in the Adobe toolbar at  the top of the screen and then click on "Search" . Type in the word or phrase you are looking for in the panel on the right of the screen.
