What's new in Burnham - Forthcoming Special Events

Spring 2008   Forthcoming Local Events 

·      Deaf Awareness Week - Information session  - Thursday May 8th 10 – 12  RNID staff will be in the Community Room at Burnham Health Centre.

·      A Spring Night Out – Saturday May 17th 6pm – 9pm   Burnham Park Hall. Social evening for older people organised by Burnham Community Association and the Lions Club of Burnham.  Fish and chips or chicken and chips, musical entertainment, licensed bar, raffle. Local transport can be arranged if necessary. Tickets £6 per head to include welcome drink. Tickets from Shirley Shaw Tel. 01628 661441.

·     Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches, DONKEY DERBY – Saturday May 24th 12 noon till 4 pm  Burnham Park. Entry free. Enjoy the usual fun and capers!

·    Burnham Carnival – Saturday July 12th  Carnival starts with High Street entertainment from midday and Parade through village at around 1pm. Entertainment throughout afternoon in Burnham Park. Free admission to Park. Carnival theme is “Save the Planet”. Fun Fair, charity stalls, refreshments, arena events, sideshows. Burnham Carnival 2008 is organised by Burnham Community Association in partnership with the Lions Club of Burnham, the Rotary Club of Burnham and the Royal British Legion, Burnham.
