The Burnham Health Promotion Trust
Transport Projects
| The Trust has actively supported a number of transport related projects including: |
Good Neighbour Scheme Re-launch - (in partnership with Burnham Community Association 2003)
Bus Information - (in partnership with Burnham Community Association)
|
Shopping Trips for Older People
- Thanks to
the help of a volunteer driver it was possible in 2001 to re-start a weekly
shopping service using the Burnham Community Association minibus. Passengers who
would otherwise find it difficult to get to a large supermarket are collected
from and returned to their homes. This scheme is now run by the Burnham
Community Association.
Shown here is a recent photo of the group with the mini-bus and its driver in the forecourt of Asda Slough immediately before their run back to their individual homes. |
|
| In addition to the above projects, many other local groups have made successful applications to the Trust for financial support of their own existing, or new, transport related projects. These include: |
Burnham Good
